2017 Elf Classic Yacht Race

The race is organized by the Classic Yacht Restoration Guild ( http://www.cyrg.org), keepers of the Elf. She is a 1888 Lawley-built (Boston) ‘30-footer’ class cutter and has been a continuous part of American maritime culture for more than a century. The race starts in Annapolis, MD and ends at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, MD.

Best Dressed
The Best Dressed Award went to White Cap, a beautifully restored 1924 33' Morton Johnson sloop up from Tuckerton NJ, Bill de Rouville.

First Finish Dayboat Class
Departing about 08:45, the first to arrive was Exotic Materials (a 15' Uffa Fox Albacore). Wet, cold, and excited after a wild sail, Captain Barney Harris signed in at 12:17 as the first to arrive and wining First (and the only boat) in the Dayboat Class.
